What it does
Point your phone at a paper document, capture each page, and save all of them as one PDF. The preview draws a frame around the detected document, and each capture is straightened, cropped and enhanced before it becomes a page.
1. Start camera
2. Capture each page
3. Finish and download pdfbees-YYYYMMDD-HHmmss.pdf
You can also import images that are already on the device, correct the corners by hand, switch a page to black and white, or turn off the automatic enhancement and set brightness and contrast yourself.
Use cases
Scan receipts, invoices, notes, forms or class handouts into one document you can send. Away from your desk you can turn paper into a PDF with the phone in your pocket, and on a computer you can import photos instead of using the camera.
Limitations
Detection works with heuristics, so it does not always find the document: an unusual background or a very faint page can stay undetected, and a manual capture is always available. Camera behavior depends on the phone and the browser, and a desktop browser usually has no camera to reach. The result keeps the look of a photo, so the text is not searchable, and no OCR is included. Very large photos make a large PDF.
